Take a Chance

How does one control their actions in such a way where they forget what’s important? I don’t want to just be forgotten. I want to be remembered for something extraordinary. If only there was a way everything could be blocked out to where nothing mattered except for what you needed to get done. What if you could live in a bubble and only focus on your immediate surroundings and forget the outside world. Life would be simpler if that could happen but it wouldn’t be real because people would only be focusing on themselves not others. If we had a choice to only focus on ourselves and not pay attention to the outside world, please don’t decide to live in that bubble and trap yourself off to relationships and community. Sure, the world gets hard. It gets difficult to power through while not forgetting who you are, but no matter how difficult the world gets around us, we need to keep pushing forward. We need to keep helping those around us, and keep influencing actions that inspire new ideas.

I believe that everybody was put on this world to inspire others. So break out of that shell, pop the bubble, open up to others and let them help you. You will be helping them in return by creating bonds and relationships incomparable to materialistic possessions or solitude. Personally, I don’t want to do nothing worthwhile with my life. I don’t want to just go through school receiving meaningless grades, just to have a career that doesn’t do any good for others. I want to be the one that has a purpose. I will go out and risk my life with that purpose in mind. I will do what I have to to make a difference in this world and to touch the lives of those around me. I will give anything to just have a chance to be the positive change someone needs. One chance is all it takes.

So if you get that chance to help somebody, take it. It doesn’t have to be risking your life, it could be as simple as smiling at somebody as you pass them in the store or giving a helping hand to somebody who needs you to carry their bags. Take the opportunity make a difference in the world. I believe that everybody has the opportunity to do good; that everybody is able to make a difference in those around them and able to touch the lives of those who need it most.

Stand up, make a difference, and show the world where you belong.
